Once Nothing Was The Same dropped, everybody knew Drake would be all over the place doing interviews. The places where Drake didn’t do interviews would still be talking about him and he offered plenty of reasons. Drake always got flack for putting out “soft” records and he is unapologetic for making records like “Hold On…”
Earlier this week, Drake premiered the “Hold On, We’re Going Home” music video and it was heavy on cameos. Despite the nature of the song, the music video played out like a gangster flick with A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and many others appearing in the video. This video was probably Drake’s way of hitting back at the “soft” critics.
As soon as this video premiered, it was pretty clear Hip Hop Vibe would name it Video of the Week. After all, the original music videos played out like movies over song anyway. Drake returned that element with Hip Hop Vibe’s Video of the Week, “Hold On, We’re Going Home.”
