HHV Exclusive: Grafh speaks on label situation, current hip hop, Nas, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” with DJ Symphony [AUDIO]

GrafhUntil the emergence of both Nicki Minaj and French Montana, there was not much media attention given to New York hip hop. Hard to believe now, seeing how much coverage the city got after Kendrick Lamar did “Control.” Before all this attention and people claiming king, Grafh held the city down.

Inspired by the likes of Nas and The Notorious B.I.G., Grafh held New York hip hop down when no one was making headlines like that. Grafh made his hits while under the roster of Black Hand Entertainment. When Kendrick Lamar made his bed, Grafh stepped up with his own “Control” response.

DJ Symphony and Radio Invasion have been working with Hip Hop Vibe for well over a year now and now his interviews will be on the site. Grafh is the first of these interviews, talking to DJ Symphony about the current situation in hip hop. He talked about being inspired by Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and wanting to work with Eminem.
