Hip hop isn’t the way it used to be, many of the newer rappers in the game have traveled around the world and lived different places. Phil Ade spent parts of his childhood in California, Florida, and Alabama. But, it was Washington DC where he grew up at and the place he calls home.
Living in the capitol city of the United States, Phil Ade had a front-row seat to see how society plays out. Without a doubt, this went into the inspiration for his latest mixtape, R.O.S.E. (Result of Society’s Evil). Phil Ade dropped the mixtape earlier this summer and even talked to Hip Hop Vibe about the tape.
When Phil Ade released the tape, it was pretty popular and the “2 AM” single with the legendary Bun B did well. The music video for that track came out earlier in the summer. On the latest episode of HHV Mixtape Recap, Result of Society’s Evil was the mixtape covered.
