When 50 Cent signed Kidd Kidd, a lot of people wondered why. The signing took place in 2011, which was a good year for artists landing record deals. Cash Money Records and Maybach Music added a strong roster during that period of time. 50 Cent also made big deals, but the results were not there.

In 2011, Shawty Lo entered a $10 million partnership with G-Unit Records and there was another signing in Kidd Kidd. It was not until this year that the Kidd Kidd deal begin to show any signs of life. Kidd Kidd originally was on Young Money, but ended up leaving the label.

50 Cent’s website, ThisIs50.com, is used to interviewing all of the biggest names in hip hop. However, 50 Cent has only once sat down with Young Jack Thriller to discuss some things. Making up for this, 50 Cent brought Kidd Kidd and they talked about their affiliation.
