This year, Drake has been bigger than ever in the months leading up to the release of his new album, Nothing Was The Same. Originally, Drake planned to drop his album this week, but he pushed it back. Speculation figured Drake pushed his album back to avoid competition with Maybach Music and Grand Theft Auto V.
Drake has a lot of momentum going into his last week of promotion before he drops his new album. A little over a month ago, Drake released his “Hold On, We’re Going Home” single and radio has begun picking it up. The song is still making noise, but it is beginning to pick up momentum.
Even though the album is due next week, Drake begins making his media rounds for the album this week. On Friday, Drake will close the week with Ellen DeGeneres, appearing on her popular talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Drake will be performing some songs off the album when he appears.
