When Kendrick Lamar went in on Big Sean’s “Control,” there were two groups of rappers who SHOULD have responded. First on the list were the rappers mentioned on the record and then rappers from New York. Instead, artists like Cassidy jumped on the record and used it to diss both Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill.
Last year, surely everyone remembers the feud between Meek Mill and Cassidy. The two hurled disses back and forth at each other throughout the summer and well into the fall. In fact, the last barbs were thrown early this year before the beef finally began to die down.
Meek Mill recently hit the studio with DJ Enuff and he finally decided to deliver his response to “Control.” Instead of responding to the original record, Meek Mill responded to Cassidy’s version and the track is called “Kendrick You Next.” The song is filled with shots taken at Cassidy.
