Back in 2010, there were rumors of Young Jeezy changing his name, which were proven to be false. In the 2009-2010 period, Young Jeezy was referenced without the “Young” in his name, plus he is no longer in his twenties. Regardless, Young Jeezy’s name change was not true at the time.

Young Jeezy has gone through several changes since 2010, recapturing the rap game and then reinventing his style. Alongside YG, Young Jeezy is one half of one of hip hop’s most-popular duos in the present moment. They provided a welcomed assist to Yo Gotti’s single, “Act Right,” which is tearing up the internet.

Today, Young Jeezy and YG paid a visit to MTV’s “RapFix Live.” They are still on the couch with Sway Calloway and the duo had major news for the fans. While the reports in 2010 were premature, Young Jeezy has come out, himself, and revealed he is no longer going by Young Jeezy, he is simply Jeezy now.
