When Cash Money Records appeared to be on its way, it came back stronger than ever due to Lil Wayne’s efforts. Most did not see the point of Cash Money Records granting the vanity label, Young Money, to Lil Wayne. With Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, and Mack Maine having success, they now understand.

Cash Money Records has Young Money doing well and also We The Best Music Group, which houses DJ Khaled, Ace Hood, and Vado. Glasses Malone also operates his label, Blu Division, under Cash Money Records and Limp Bizkit is with the label. Birdman and Slim have definitely defied the odds with their moves.

Now, Cash Money Records has partnered with fellow Republic Records subsidiary, Chase Records. A multi million dollar deal was reached and Austin Mahone, whose dream was to meet Drake, is now on the label. Birdman and Slim have both expressed excitement in closing this deal.

Read the statements below:

Cash Money Records: “We’ve been colleagues with theChase team for a while,” he says. “As we continue our expansion, Chase Records is the perfect partner for Cash Money as we’re both striving for excellence and now we’re going to make history together. We’ve been watching Austin ascend to the ranks of pop music’s elite. He’s one of pop’s most promising and powerful young contenders, and he’s on his way to becoming a leader for the genre. As a brand, we cherish the chance to work with stars of this caliber.”

Chase Records: Cash Money‘s support will be integral to the next phase of Chase Records and their artist development. It’s amazing to join forces with one of music’s most respected and revered entities. It’s clear to us that our label and our artists are a priority at Universal with both Cash Money and Republic Records behind us.
