Before his prison sentence, Young Scooter was the hottest rapper on the mixtape scene and his future looked bright. A lot of these current Atlanta stars may have not stood a chance had Young Scooter gotten his chance to shine. “Colombia” with Rick Ross and Birdman was doing well, but everything happens for a reason.
This summer, Young Scooter was supposed to drop his debut street album and it was to be released the same day Gucci Mane dropped. Without his new sidekick, Gucci Mane pushed his album up and released it. Young Scooter, meanwhile, was finishing up his sentence.
Set to be released from prison before the end of the month, Young Scooter will be giving the streets what they want. The original planned breakout artist of 2013 will drop his project later this month. Actually, Young Scooter is dropping From The Cell Block to Your Block in two days, on August 29.
