On Sunday, the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards took place and Drake received a major portion of the hip hop attention. This year, few hip hop artists have had the type of attention Drake has had. Next month, Drake plans to release his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same.

Recently, Drake released the artwork for the album, which features an animated childhood version of himself. Nothing Was the Same is rounding out well with appearances from all the biggest artists in the game. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z are only a few people who will be featured on the project.

Drake talked in-depth to MTV while he was in Brooklyn for their award show. Talking with Rob Markman, Drake talked about the cover of his new album during the latest installment. Explaining that the album is an oil painting, if the record stores have done how he asked, it is him as a child staring at his current self.
