Since the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was set in 1992, music from the 1990s was featured on the video game. Capturing the life of a young man growing up in the West Coast, San Andreas showcased that life. Radio Los Santos is the station most fans gravitated to and it was full of throwback music.
Of course, the music wasn’t old within the context of the game, but San Andreas was good at getting new fans on the West Coast gangsta rap. Now, with Rockstar Games revisiting San Andreas with Grand Theft Auto V, Radio Los Santos is set to return and there are new jams. With the station set in the present day, expect some big names.
There have been a lot of Grand Theft Auto V leaks today because it is available in a pre-leak capacity in the United Kingdom. A few songs from such names as A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator, and Freddie Gibbs have leaked. Now, the full playlist has leaked of both hip hop and overall songs.
With Grand Theft Auto V set in the present time, the old music is actually old and the really old is treated as such. Radio Los Santos will feature music from all the legendary names, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s classic music is included. But, Game, 2 Chainz, Ab-Soul, YG, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and more are included. Tupac Shakur and Ice Cube are more legends who will have music on Grand Theft Auto V and DJ Pooh was tapped to be a radio host.
