K. Michelle receives ambassadors award for music in Memphis, plans “No New Friends” reality show

K. Michelle 2Very special, two words to describe K. Michelle, one of the biggest breakout stars in recent years. Her popularity stems from her role on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” which she recently departed. K. Michelle departing the series has come at the right time, with her Rebellious Soul album now out.

A joke within fans of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” is how K. Michelle is the only person on the cast whose career is actually going anywhere. She has a lot going for herself and she is not slowing down anytime soon. K. Michelle recently returned to her hometown of Memphis, where she was greeted by the mayor and awarded an ambassador award.

Honored for her music, K. Michelle has been very active. She also tweeted Erica Mena today about her upcoming role in the original “Love & Hip Hop.” During their exchange, K. Michelle explained her appearance on “Love & Hip Hop” will serve as the pilot for her new series, “No New Friends.”
