LA Weekly names their top five Los Angeles producers of all-time

When gangsta rap took over the hip hop scene, one of the first media outlets to actually cover it was LA Weekly. However, the newspaper primarily focused on the violence being caused by the lifestyle embodied in the music. Over the years, the overall stance of hip hop has softened.

More influential than most other musical genres, hip hop has crossed lines with many genres over the years. A lot of people refer to hip hop music as the universal language and there is a reason for it. Take a few seconds and think, think of a world without hip hop music.

LA Weekly has definitely come around over the past twenty five plus years. They recently held a countdown, of sorts. The famed newspaper named their top five Los Angeles producers of all-time. Check the list out below to see who actually made their list.
