A lot of bases have been covered with this Wednesday Throwback and it’s hard to believe it’s already been six months. Everything from the old old school to some of the newer classics have been featured, so today R&B is covered. Sisqo had a strong run with Dru Hill and he decided to go solo.
In 1999, Def Jam had a great year and it was the year Sisqo released his solo debut album, Unleash The Dragon. A multiplatinum success, Sisqo drove himself to the top of the game with the lead single, “Thong Song.” The music video featured much of the Def Jam roster at the time.
Cameos came from Ja Rule, LL Cool J, Redman and Method Man, and other people on the Def Jam label. A few days ago, this joint played on the radio and the memories started rushing back. Not everybody can listen to that station, but they can log on here and the memories can come rushing back.
