Known for making hit records, Rick Ross has reached new heights since 2010. After the release of Teflon Don, Rick Ross began to focus on his Maybach Music label and he has produced several stars under the label. Over this span of time, Rick Ross has built a high profile and is arguably the biggest rapper in the game.

Young people have flocked to Rick Ross’ music and this apparently includes a young pastor. Rodney Willis is the pastor of Mt. Salem Baptist Church and during his time off, he attended a Rick Ross concert. When word got back to his congregation, he became the shortest-tenured minister in the 109 years the church existence.

Fired from the church, a deacon spoke out, saying their church could not be led by someone who supports the tearing down of God’s kingdom. On Sunday, when Pastor Willis returned, he found his parking space altered and his name removed. Nine months before, several members of the church spotted him at a Lil Wayne concert.

Read quotes from Deacon Miles Langley below:

“We cannot have our leader supporting people of this world who are tearing down the kingdom of God.”

“We know that many saints will have mixed opinions from our actions, but this is not how we do things here at Mt. Salem. We cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next. Period” said Deacon Langley. Rick Ross recently made nationwide news when he was dropped from Reebok and other endorsements for lyrics advocating rape towards women. ”Put Molly all in her Champagne/ She ain’t even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that/ She ain’t even know it,”
