Once he released good kid, m.A.A.d. city, Kendrick Lamar joined the elite of the rap game and soon he was being compared to the all-time greats. No doubts that good kid, m.A.A.d. city is a classic, but people overlook it being his first and only album. This is not to discredit Kendrick Lamar’s mixtapes and street albums.
In actuality, Kendrick Lamar is one of the most-consistent rappers over the past few years. Starting in 2009 with C4, Kendrick Lamar dropped a project every year and his run ended with good kid, m.A.A.d. city. His debut album has since gone platinum, but Kendrick Lamar promised to take time off before doing his next LP.
During a recent interview with NowToronto, Kendrick Lamar spoke on the possibility of doing another album. He spoke on the possibility of putting out another album and he spoke on how he is always writing. Kendrick Lamar went on to say he would love to work with DJ Quik on his next release.
