Flo Rida talks mainstream success, Pitbull, Trayvon Martin, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Flo Rida 2Back in 2007-2008, it was a good period for Florida hip hop. During this time, names such as Plies, Ace Hood, and Flo Rida were introduced. Rick Ross also began experiencing higher levels of success and all these rappers had the support of DJ Khaled.

In the case of Plies, his career took off immediately and he ended up dropping two albums in 2008. Both albums led to a long list of hits from Plies and many thought he had a chance to rise the ranks. Ultimately, Rick Ross took the rap game over and Ace Hood became a mainstay and Flo Rida went pop.

Flo Rida is currently preparing his fifth studio album, The Perfect 10. Making his media rounds in promotion of the album, Flo Rida spoke on the success he has experienced in the mainstream and his connection with Pitbull. Social issues were also brought up with the Trayvon Martin situation.
