Since his battles have played out right before the public eye, DMX has faced so much scrutiny, it’s unreal. In spite of everything, DMX still managed to come back and continue to do what he loves. DMX dropping his album last year came as a surprise to a lot of people.
But, a lot of fans discount that DMX spent his entire life defeating the odds and finding success. For most of his life, DMX battled drug addiction, but he finally managed to kick the habit and move on with his life. Ever since his 2011 release from prison, there has been a change in DMX.
The media had a field day when they learned DMX filed for bankruptcy. But, there is more to this story than it seems. According to his publicist, who released a statement to HipHopDX.com, DMX filed for bankruptcy because his passport had been revoked due to his bills and this is for his upcoming European tour.

“DMX’s financial strains have been inhibiting his career for several years. Poor financial management by prior representation have caused him to be ineligible to retain a passport. The purpose of this bankruptcy filing is for reorganization so he can perform for his fans oversees. We are currently planning a tour in Europe and Africa for the fall of 2013.”
