A major reason why Hot 97 is loved by so many is because they come with so many surprises. Take today for an example, this afternoon T.I. popped up for a surprise visit during Angie Martinez’ show. As most know, T.I. is no longer with Atlantic Records, as the Grand Hustle Records movement is now independent-based.
During his time with Angie Martinez, T.I. talked about the business from an independent standpoint. Even as an independent label, Grand Hustle has begun a takeover with Hustle Gang. They have several artists who have signed to the label and many more coming.
When T.I. stopped by Angie Martinez, he talked about the artists he are looking for to join Hustle Gang. Dynamics have changed and T.I. is looking for artists who are grinding, so he can continue doing solid numbers. T.I. also invited potential investors to jump in with $1 million to put into Hustle Gang.
