Hardcore fans of Memphis hip hop have been following Juicy J since the mid-1990s when Three 6 Mafia was somewhat new. Even though he built a following through his mixtapes, not too many people were checking for Juicy J. Wiz Khalifa was a big fan and he wasted no time signing him to Taylor Gang.
Definitely a next-generation hip hop mogul, Wiz Khalifa added Juicy J for both his history in the game and his business sense. Within a year, Juicy J had a major hit on his hands with “Bands a Make Her Dance.” Since then, Stay Trippy has been in the works.
The day of August 27 is shaping up to be another big day for hip hop. Among the albums coming on this date is Juicy J’s Stay Trippy. Featured on the album is Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Justin Timberlake, A$AP Rocky, Big Sean, and Trina, among others and the cover and track listing were released today.
