Already, Cash Money Records has had a pretty strong year. Then again, when a label is big enough to have two high-powered subsidiaries, they are strong by default. Next week, Ace Hood from We The Best/Cash Money will release his new album. But, the biggest release is Drake’s Nothing Was the Same.
Drake returned to the forefront of the game this year with “Started from the Bottom” and has continued to drop hits. Initially, Drake appeared set for a summer release with his album, but with Ace Hood and Birdman dropping only a week a part, distance was created. Still, Drake is set to drop on September 17.
Birdman sat down with MTV News, again, to discuss Drake’s Nothing Was the Same, going in-depth this time. In this interview, Birdman again spoke on the quality of the album, but he also revealed some guests. Expect the bulk of the YMCMB camp to pop up on Nothing Was the Same.
