Getting out of a situation to succeed is what most people tend to do. Usually, people end up moving away to focus on reaching their goals. Two years ago, Chuck Inglish decided to leave Chicago for Los Angeles. Since then, Chuck Inglish has watched as his solo rap career has taken shape.

Previously, Chuck Inglish was a member of The Cool Kids and now he is the leader of his own movement, Sounds Like Fun. Over the past few months, Chuck Inglish has been recording his Convertibles album and he made a new deal. Not only thinking of himself, but also about Sounds Like Fun, Chuck Inglish signed a new deal.

Today, Chuck Inglish announced he signed a joint venture for Sounds Like Fun with Dave Sitek’s Federal Prism label. This company is home to such names as Kelis and Scarlett Johannsen, naming only a few. In addition to being a record label, Sounds Like Fun also houses the parties and festivals Chuck Inglish throws in Los Angeles and Federal Prism enhances this.

Chuck Inglish released a statement about his new deal today.

Read Chuck Inglish’s statement below:

“Creating Sounds Like Fun gives me a fresh start to finish what I set out to do in the beginning of my career,” says Chuck. He continues, “Mikey and I had to deal with a lot of bullshit towards the end of our relationship with our old label and we both needed to clear our heads. A lot of people think we broke up or have bad blood but Mikey’s my dude. I’ve always wanted something to call my own, to have my own factory, and Sounds Like Fun is the platform for all my ideas.” The idea and naming of Chuck’s brand came to him while he was tripping with a good friend but after his friend’s unexpected death, the name took on a deeper meaning. “When she passed a few months ago,” Chuck recalls, “I said to myself, ‘Now it’s time.’ Then I met my current manager, Jack Minihan, and everything  just came together.”
