Inspired by the sitcom, “Seinfeld,” Wale made himself into a star through his series of mixtapes, The Mixtape About Nothing. Building mixtape buzz led to major label attention and deals. Circumstances prevented a long-term deal with Wale’s first record label and his frequent trips to Miami led him to Maybach Music.

Wale took a different route with his third studio album, The Gifted. “Bad” was the breakout lead single from the album, featuring Tiara Thomas. Before this, Wale released several vlogs of himself in the studio with Jerry Seinfeld, as they are working on The Album About Nothing, but they also worked on The Gifted.

Today, Wale dropped The Gifted and he made his rounds with the media. Earlier this week, Wale landed in New York City and he has talked to their warring radio media outlets. Wale talked to Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” and spoke on Jerry Seinfeld, outrageous rapper tweets, Tiara Thomas, and more.
