Being an executive for an independent label is tough because a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes that nobody notices. Even though the grind gets hard, there are a lot of people to be inspired by. That list starts with Mac Miller because he has put out two albums without major label backing.
Watching Movies with the Sound Off is the new Mac Miller album that came out last week up against the others. This album is notable for a lot of reasons and it continues the comeback white rappers have had in the game. Mac Miller also represents the new breed of lyricists in the game.
Mac Miller talked to Rise24Online at the offices of Rostrum Records earlier about his new album. Watching Movies with the Sound Off is almost a week old and the people are taking to the album, so Mac Miller is clearly happy about that. In the interview, Mac also spoke on guys like Macklemore coming up and the rise of lyricists.
