Security at the American Airlines Arena was pretty tight, but Drake still got a chance to party with his team. Once again, the Miami Heat are on top of the basketball world and it has been a long time coming. Following their initial championship, the Miami Heat became an also-ran in the NBA.
Of course, the high-profile additions of LeBron James and Chris Bosh changed the fortunes of the Miami Heat. Ever since they joined Dwyane Wade in Miami, the franchise has not missed the NBA Finals and have two titles to show for. Along with their long line of won games, the Heat have been referenced in countless hip hop songs.
Drake is the leader of the Miami Heat rap, so it was only right that he get a chance to hang with the team and offer his congratulations. It did not happen over at the arena after the championship, but Drake got his chance. Partying with the Heat at Club Story in Miami, he celebrated with the big three.
