After running an NBA franchise for ten years, Jay-Z accomplished his mission, which was to bring the league back to Brooklyn. Richer than most could ever imagine being, Jay-Z does it now for the sport. Sports has become a major source of income for Jay-Z and the family Carter.
This past spring, Jay-Z launched Roc Nation Sports and many questioned if he would begin representing NBA players. Immediately, Jay-Z began recruiting NBA players and he soon sold his stake in the Nets. Since then, Jay-Z has met with Kevin Durant, among many other NBA stars.
All of this work from Jay-Z has not been in vain, as he got what he was looking for. A horrible scenario is one where Jay-Z relinquishes his role of an NBA owner and is then denied his application to be an NBA agent. Fortunately for Jay-Z, he does not have to live this out because he has been accepted as an agent for the NBA.
