In only five months, Drake has placed himself back on top of the rap game. But, the question is if Drake ever really left the top to begin with. He took it to the background last year, but still appeared on the hottest songs that hit the radio. Drake has since returned to the forefront.
Cash Money Records has many big releases planned and none of them are bigger than the Nothing Was the Same album from Drake. “Started from the Bottom” and “5 AM in Toronto” are the first two singles off the project and they have done well. Now, Drake is in the final stretch for his new album.
Drake was in Atlanta for Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash 18, where he performed with 2 Chainz and conducted a backstage interview. Hot 107.9’s Ms. Shanika talked to Drake about his upcoming album. During the interview, Drake told her that he was almost done working on Nothing Was the Same.
