Two years ago, there were questions about Kanye West and Def Jam. With his artist contract up, it was rumored that Kanye West would head over to Universal Records and establish a label deal for G.O.O.D. Music. Ultimately, Kanye West would remain with his original label, Def Jam, establishing a deal for his label.
With this new deal, Kanye West has released Watch the Throne with Jay-Z and last summer he released Cruel Summer with G.O.O.D. Music. Now, Kanye West is preparing his first solo album since the deal took effect. Yeezus is the name of the album and it leaked this past week.
Kanye West, clearly, is not pleased about the Yeezus leak. But, today his focus was on the birth of his daughter. His focus has shifted, but Def Jam is still highly focused on finding the person who leaked Yeezus and they have a few people on the case who have a lead on the leaker.
