It’s Wednesday, so it is no question what time it is right now. Once again, the Wednesday Throwback is going down. With all of this talk about Jadakiss, with him releasing the new single, “Big Boy Dialogue,” with The-Dream, it brings up memories of The L.O.X. Back in the day, this was one of the hardest groups out.

With The L.O.X., their title said it all, Money, Power, & Respect. This was the name of their debut album and also the name of their explosive debut single. Released early in 1998, the song went on to become an anthem. “Money, Power, & Respect” continued to raise the profile of fellow Yonkers rapper, DMX, and Lil’ Kim also was featured.

During the height of the Shiny suit era that they ushered in, Bad Boy Records signed the hardcore trio of Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch. This situation ended up not working out, but when it was good it was great. So, let’s take it back to 1998 with “Money, Power, & Respect” from The L.O.X.
