The summer looks like it is going to belong to Gunplay. Every summer is dominated by releases from Maybach Music. Gunplay turned in a surprise performance last year, but everyone is expecting him this time around. This upcoming week, Gunplay plans to release his Acquitted mixtape.
Ahead of the Acquitted tape, Gunplay released the “Bible on the Dash” single. Promoting the single since March, Gunplay released the music video for it in May. Like all of his other videos, “Bible on the Dash” has gone viral and has been one of the top singles released thus far this summer.
This past week, Gunplay sat down with Sway Calloway for MTV’s “RapFix Live.” In the interview, Gunplay talked about the “Bible on the Dash” single. A breakout hit now, Gunplay said he recorded the song when he was going through the peak of his legal troubles that he has since been Acquitted of.
