Anyone who has created something from the ground up knows it is almost like having a child, as in feeling obligated to do any and everything for this project. In the case of legendary record executive, Jermaine Dupri, his financial situation has made headlines. Recent rumors had him in a worse scrape than predicted.

According to the rumors, Jermaine Dupri had leveraged his debt with his record company, So So Def. Over the years, the label has been home to many of the biggest names in hip hop. Only naming a few acts, So So Def was home to Bow Wow, Da Brat, and Xscape.

The rumors said Jermaine Dupri had all of their publishing up in order to absolve his debt. However, this was not the case and Jermaine Dupri took to his Global 14 website to set the record straight. Jermaine Dupri went on a rant, in all caps, that let everyone know he is indeed still in charge.
