Hip Hop Vibe had the chance to talk to Montana Tripp da Boss. In our interview, the conversation was drastically different from our previous discussion. With the focus completely on music, Montana Tripp da Boss spoke on his “Right Now” single with Black Child, possibly working with Ja Rule, and Let The Games Begin.

Read the entire interview below:

Things are a lot more peaceful since the last time we talked, do you still have any hard feelings towards Freddie Gibbs and the current CTE members? (Laughs). I’m not worried about that, I’m out here grinding. It’s BMF forever, so it is what it is.

On a positive note, you have a lot of big things in the works, how are you feeling right now? Oh man. I’m real happy and trying to enjoy life. Getting prepared for what is coming because we have a lot in the works. I want to take the game and shut it down, keeping family first.

Recently, you linked up with Murder Inc.’s Black Child for your “Right Now” single that is a banger, what was it like working with him? It’s cool. He’s a homie from the street like me. We linked up and we did music and you will be seeing a lot more coming from us.

Can you walk us through how you and him linked up? We are both doing our thing on the music scene, appearing on the same websites, so we linked up. Then, we knew a lot of the same people that helped us find each other. Us knowing the same people also gave me a good sign of where things were going.

With Ja Rule out of prison, is there a chance of you working with him? You never know. First off, shout out to the whole Murder Inc. family, there is nothing but love out there from our end. I wouldn’t mind doing a record with Ja Rule, so you never know. I am looking to drop a sexy single for the ladies, so Ja Rule would be a perfect fit anyway.

Are you happy about the way Let the Games Begin is coming together? Yeah yeah. It’s coming together pretty dope, but I have been pushing it back because I am working on so much music, doing one project at a time, and lining up these features.

Since you had DJ Lyve from “106 & Park” host your last mixtape, who will be hosting this one? I’m not sure yet, I have a few people in mind and it might not even be DJ-hosted. There are a few big DJs in mind who would host it for me, but I have to decide how I am putting this thing together.

Who are some of the other guests you have locked in for this mixtape? Not to name-drop, but I have my BMF family up there. Calico Jonez is going to be up there working with me on a track. I am not going to name them all, but I got some people up there. I got the real Rick Ross on my record, Freeway Rick Ross, and a couple other people on the record. I have records with big features that might not even make the final cut for this project.

When will you be releasing the second single off this upcoming project? Oh man. I’m ready to release one right now. Shit, ready to drop yesterday. But, I’m going to let the track with Black Child ride for a while, but I am going to drop some freestyle tracks before my next big single.
