Within the next month, J. Cole will release Born Sinner, his sophomore album. Months ahead of the release of the album, J. Cole has released the “Power Trip” single. The song has been out for the past couple months and it has become an anthem. Given the reaction to “Power Trip,” J. Cole may have avoided what many refer to as the sophomore jinx.

Born Sinner is one of 2013’s highest-anticipated albums because of what J. Cole brings to the table with his music. Representing this new South movement, J. Cole is among the many hip hop artists from North Carolina who are highly-lyrical. The music that J. Cole puts out is something people from all over the world can relate to.

Doing music like this can take its toll on the creator. Of course, the writing process for a project like this can be quite difficult. J. Cole recently sat down with FUSE TV and he talked about his upcoming album and the writing process for the album. In the interview, J. Cole talked about how different this album was from his previous music and having a white mother.
