Two years ago, French Montana boldly proclaimed Excuse My French would sell 200,000 copies in its first week. Admittedly, French Montana has acknowledged this and accepted that likely not being the case. What is the case, though, is French Montana having a series of hit singles under his belt.

Last week, French Montana finally released Excuse My French. On the album, there are guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Ace Hood, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Drake, and many others. This album goes away from the traditional sound of New York hip hop into this new generation.

Projections for Excuse My French had the album doing no more than 55,000 copies in its first week. This does not bother French Montana because he has still had a major impact on the rap game. French Montana wound up selling 49,000 copies in the first week of sales from Excuse My French.
