A lot of attention should be given to the DMV area, but this is not always the case. In hip hop, the area is just beginning to receive the props they have deserved all along. One rising hip hop scene in the DMV area is Baltimore, which is home to many rising emcees, among them is Ray Rockbaby.
On the other side of the country, DJ Mos P is representing an under-served hip hop market. Working as a female DJ, DJ Mos P has made quite a name for herself and she has a large and devoted mixtape following. For her Grip the Wheel, Vol. 2: Fun, Sex, Dreams mixtape, she decided to release the project through Hip Hop Vibe.
Set to impact things this summer, DJ Mos P is rounding out the features on this upcoming project. Ray Rockbaby has made the cut for the upcoming mixtape and will be appearing on Grip the Wheel, Vol. 2. A rising emcee in the game, expect to see and hear much more from Ray Rockbaby over the next few months.
