One of the first femcees in the South to rise to fame was Gangsta Boo, who was introduced as a member of Three 6 Mafia. In recent years, Three 6 Mafia has been known as a two man team, Juicy J and DJ Paul, with the other members spread out. As most have realized, Juicy J has risen far above simply being another Memphis rapper.
Recently, Gangsta Boo opened up on some subliminal tension between herself and Juicy J during a recent Memphis concert. While she is not on the same level as she was during the height of Three 6 Mafia’s run, Gangsta Boo still commands respect. A lot of the current artists in the game have paid homage to her.
