The fact there even is a Mississippi hip hop scene after all of these years is incredible enough. But, astonishing is the fact that Big K.R.I.T. is currently one of the biggest rappers in the game and is from Mississippi. No doubt, the state always had hip hop talent, but it always found a way to get overlooked.

No one is overlooking Big K.R.I.T., however, as he is a little under a year removed from his debut album, Live From the Underground. Releasing a classic album under the Def Jam umbrella, Big K.R.I.T. has much more in store. Starting out on the mixtape scene, he has continued to put out mixtapes.

Big K.R.I.T. recently talked to Young Jack Thriller with ThisIs50.com. Of course, a comical discussion, Big K.R.I.T. spoke on some of everything. In his interview, K.R.I.T. talked about T.I., the hip hop scene in Alabama, The Friend Zone with Yelawolf, and much more.
