Five years ago, Birdman and Rick Ross announced they would be coming together for a joint album. While both rappers were popular, they were considered the outcasts in the game, but this soon changed. By the end of 2008, Birdman watched the roster of his Cash Money Records grow and Rick Ross soon took over.
The H was announced to be released in 2008 and then briefly mentioned by Birdman and Rick Ross in 2009 and 2010. But, by 2011, it became one of the many albums that were mentioned but never happened by members of YMCMB and friends. With no mentions of The H in three years, most had given up on ever hearing it.
Birdman and Rick Ross knew this and decided to surprise fans with The H. Noting the lost time, the album is sub-titled The Lost Album 2008. Another thing to note is how it is Vol. 1. The H will be released as a mixtape and will be hosted by DJ Khaled and features Mack Maine and Gudda Gudda.
