Philadelphia is back at the forefront of the rap game for a major reason. But, there is much more to Philadelphia hip hop than the ones all over television and the media. The dark horse in the run in Philadelphia is Gilbere Forte. Much different from the other artists in the game, Gilbere Forte reminds many of an early Kanye West.
Recently, Gilbere Forte released his EP, Pray. Full of classic songs, the project has done well in the short time it has been out. Gilbere Forte made a lot of sacrifices in order to become the figure he is in hip hop. Having a lot of success, Gilbere Forte is well aware he is not quite where he needs to be.
When he sat down with Global Grind, Gilbere Forte spoke more on this. During his interview, Gilbere Forte talked quite a bit about his EP, Pray. Gilbere Forte went on to talk about being a vegetarian and not being able to eat around family. At the close of the interview, Gilbere Forte also talked about the music scene in Philadelphia.
