Back in 2008, Rick Ross caught the attention of the game with Trilla, his sophomore album. Featuring T-Pain on the second single, “The Boss,” Rick Ross had one of the first major hits of 2008. During this period of time, Birdman began paying attention to Ross and announced their joint album, The H.
In between time, Rick Ross enjoyed a major boost in recognition when he began feuding with 50 Cent. Most declared Rick Ross the winner in the feud, since his career elevated and 50 Cent’s dwindled following the dustup. Somewhere along the line, the joint album was forgotten and both refocused on their labels.
Rick Ross is now a boss on many fronts and Birdman has Cash Money Records at a new peak, with several successful sub-labels. Now appears to be the perfect time for them to release The H. Earlier today, Birdman and Rick Ross announced The H would be coming this year and it has been sub-titled The Lost Album and is due on May 23.
