Two years ago, the hip hop world got to fully know Tyler, the Creator. But, it was in 2009 when Tyler, the Creator first made his impact on the game. Tyler, the Creator returned in 2011 with a full deal for Odd Future. Taking over the game in 2011, Tyler, the Creator is the most-controversial rapper in the game.
Controversial, at best, the world has been caught up in the movement Tyler, the Creator brought to the world. Pepsi has been paying attention to Tyler, the Creator, who is talented as a director in addition to music. Giving him a deal with Mountain Dew, Tyler, the Creator produced a commercial deemed as the world as “racist.”
Few in the hip hop, let alone outside of the community, understand Tyler, the Creator’s dark sense of humor. Catching the heat, Pepsi pulled Tyler, the Creator’s commercial and his manager spoke out, saying it was not to be taken seriously. In an interview with Billboard, the Los Angeles rapper said the situation was blown out of proportion.
