On his records, J. Cole often raps about how he came up and how his dreams ultimately became his reality. It surely was no overnight sensation, but J. Cole did go from pitching his music to Jay-Z to being his protege. Now, J. Cole has one of the hottest songs out with “Power Trip.”
There was a time when things were much simpler for the North Carolina rapper, however. Taking things back to his Fayetteville childhood, J. Cole dreamed of being a big time celebrity with access to “the life.” Now, this life is his life and J. Cole does as he pleases in a self-made fashion.
When J. Cole sat down with The Fat Jew, he spoke on how life has changed for him and what he does not. J. Cole is his own person and he eats at the strip club, which he talked about. Much like many other young men from his era, J. Cole also grew up with a crush on Alicia Keys. Seeing how she has spent much time around J. Cole, he also talked about that.
