Perhaps people have forgotten how big of an artist Kid Cudi is. Though a lot of attention was given to G.O.O.D. Music last summer, Kid Cudi put the label on the map. Before he released his “Day ‘n’ Nite” single, the label simply received a lot of lip service. But, in the years since then, the label is recognized.

But, when G.O.O.D. Music finally hit its stride, Kid Cudi only played a minor part. Instead, he was working on his own label, Wicked Awesomeness. Kid Cudi did appear on the Cruel Summer album, but took a backseat to 2 Chainz. It was evident Kid Cudi was leaving the label and was no surprise when he said the words.

Indicud was released under Kid Cudi’s Wicked Awesomeness. Kid Cudi admitted he was nervous to tell Kanye West he was leaving the label. Recently, Indicud was released to positive reviews. Yesterday, the first week sales were officially reported and he debuted at number two on the charts with 139,000 copies sold.
