A few years ago, both Nelly and Ashanti were in the midst of a comeback. In the early 2000s, they put forth a string of hit singles. Nelly introduced the world to St. Louis hip hop and Ashanti released several ballads with Ja Rule. But, things change, as does tastes in music and it led to the game phasing them out.
Nelly has remained a key figure in hip hop, however. The St. Louis emcee has kept himself going in the realm of business and also in hip hop commentary. But, Nelly also wants to get back in on the action and release new music. Nelly is also working on his new album.
When he stopped by FUSE TV, Nelly reunited with Ashanti, his ex-girlfriend. She works for FUSE TV now and is a part of their artists interviews section. In a sense of irony, Ashanti interviewed Nelly about women’s thighs, Chris Brown, Twitter, and much more.
