As the world has changed, so have the career fields of interest. Working in the music industry is no longer a hobby or a side job. There are people who have become very rich off simply making music and having people record off their beats. Because of this and the next generation, Grammy U was started for college kids pursuing music.
Recruited to work with the Grammy U program was Hit-Boy and Young Guru. Both have worked closely with Kanye West, but Hit-Boy rose to fame last year after producing many of 2012’s biggest hits. Meanwhile, Young Guru gained fame from working with Jay-Z and recently he worked with Kendrick Lamar.
Grammy U recently held a studio session with Hit-Boy and Young Guru where they talked about their work. Both have worked with Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Kendrick Lamar. But, Young Guru also spoke on his work with Diddy, as did Hit-Boy speak on his work with many other hip hop artists.
