During the summer of 2011, V-Nasty rose to fame alongside Kreayshawn and Lil Debbie as one third of the White Girl Mob. There were countless artists who gained fame through the internet during this period of time. V-Nasty is among the new generation of rappers who represents this new era in hip hop music.
Releasing music on the internet made V-Nasty famous. Her momentum took her from her native Bay Area to Atlanta, where she has worked with Gucci Mane, among others. Known for her quirky lyrics, V-Nasty has become one of the most-entertaining rappers in the game.
V-Nasty released her “F**k Your Face” single last month, which is the first single off her upcoming EP. Along with working on her new EP, V-Nasty has a new label deal to celebrate, as she signed with Pinnacle Records. Hip Hop Vibe had the opportunity to talk to V-Nasty and she spoke on her new single, EP, and Twitter verification.

Are you pleased with the reaction of your “F**k Your Face” single? I am, I am happy I got reactions out of it and I feel happy. It is the first video I put out, but I’m glad people liked it. People said it made them feel high, even when they were sober. I made the song when I was sober and I made it to make people feel high.
You have departed the White Girl Mob, but will you still work with them? There is no White Girl Mob. We all went our separate ways, we all still talk though. I am the mob though, I ain’t tripping.
What was it like down in Austin for SXSW 2013? It was fun, me and Lil Debbie were down there interacting with fans and making connections with artists we know of. The shows were cool and I loved supporting the other people. But, I loved being around my fans.
You will be working with Ryan Seacrest soon, can you talk about that? I cannot go into much detail, but we have a lot of big shit in the works.
How did you come in contact with Ryan to begin working? Ryan Seacrest and heard about me and liked my story. They liked my personality and we linked up.
Should fans expect to see you on E! anytime soon? I don’t know about E!, but I’ll be on some channel.
When do you plan to release your new EP? On the fourteenth of May, maybe the sixteenth, but I’m going for the fourteenth. This EP is gonna be so hot though. I learned to put my words together better and I show this off on my EP. I have been growing in the music.
As far as guest appearances, who should fans expect to see on this project? I have a few people in mind, but so far I have been doing solo tracks. I have some collaborations I am aiming for, but I’m waiting to see what happens before I talk on it.
Recently, Twitter verified you as a celebrity, how did that feel? It felt good, wake up in the morning, and I gave my sister my password to interact on Twitter. She went on Twitter to see what the fans said, but then I saw the verification check on my Twitter. At first, I thought it was fake, but when I saw it was real, it felt great. It felt like “I’m really a rapper now.”
What other projects do you have planned for 2013? After I drop this EP, I will be doing a tour, and hopefully by the end of the year, I will be doing a big tour. Right now, we are putting all of that together. I am here now, I know how to do all of this.
