Kendall “Young Sav” Freeman named Vice President of Maybach Music

Rick Ross started Maybach Music in 2008 and began actively promoting the label in 2009. However, Rick Ross kept the focus on himself from 2008 through 2010, releasing his mega-popular, Teflon Don album. In the time since then, Rick Ross focused much of his energy on Maybach Music, signing a deal with Warner Bros. and adding talent.

Since then, Rick Ross has moved Maybach Music from Warner Bros. to Atlantic Records and has come under quite a bit of controversy. Though 50 Cent is thrilled with Rick Ross losing his Reebok deal, Meek Mill, Slim Thug, and Ace Hood feel for him. Building himself back up, Rick Ross made a new business deal.

Earlier this morning, Billboard reported Kendall “Young Sav” Freeman has officially left his position at Def Jam to work with Maybach Music. In leaving Def Jam, Freeman also left his longtime partner, Steve-O. Both Kendall “Young Sav” Freeman and Rick Ross released statements to Billboard.

Rick Ross:
