In 2011, “One Life to Live” was cancelled and plans were made for the show to continue its run on the internet. By the January 2012 ending of the show, the internet plans had been abandoned, disappointing soap fans. A storied television program was gone and it had featured the likes of Snoop Dogg, among other celebrities.

Previously, Snoop Dogg twice appeared on “One Life to Live” as a friend of the character of Bo Buchanan. Performing for the town, Snoop Dogg is returning to the soap opera, as it makes its premiere later this month. “One Life to Live” is the most-discussed soap opera out, as it is currently battling with “General Hospital” over crossover characters.

Instead of getting mad, “One Life to Live” is getting even and loading up on the star power through the internet. Snoop Dogg is a big fan of the show and he is returning to do guest appearances, as is Riff Raff who will portray a parody of James Franco’s “General Hospital” role.” The California rap veteran will produce the theme song for the revamped series. “One Life to Live” released a statement regarding the matter.

“We’re thrilled to have the support of such an iconic artist, like Snoop Lion,” said Prospect Park’s Jeff Kwatinetz. “To have him write and produce the theme song for this series and to have the amazingly talented Iza Lach on board, is just incredible. We are extremely grateful and excited for fans to hear the new theme song and of course catch Snoop Lion in upcoming episodes.”
