In urban film, few franchises receive as much acclaim as Ice Cube’s Friday series. The series remained a popular cult film for five years. Giving into demand, Ice Cube released a sequel of Friday in 2000, Next Friday. Two years after Next Friday, Ice Cube returned with Friday After Next.
Many of the biggest names in urban entertainment have been a part of the Friday series and among these names is Faizon Love. Over the past two decades, Faizon Love has remained one of the biggest urban comedians. Since 2010, there have been rumblings of a fourth Friday film with the fan favorites and the original cast.
Earlier this week, Faizon Love stopped by Shade 45 and he talked to Sway Calloway. In his sit-down with “Sway in the Morning,” Faizon Love talked about his work on the classic film. Faizon Love described what it was like to work with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker on the movie.
