Throughout his mainstream career, Jay-Z has always been able to count on his cohorts, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. His biggest hits have come over their beats, with such singles as “On to the Next One” and “Big Pimpin,” only naming a few. The latest track Jay-Z collaborated with Swizz Beatz and Timbaland on is “Open Letter.”

Firing back and the backlash over appearing in Cuba with Beyonce for their fifth wedding anniversary, Jay-Z released “Open Letter.” On the song, Jay-Z addresses everything from his Nets deal to his relationship with President Obama. Earlier today, the White House issued a response to Jay-Z.

Swizz Beatz also took out time to talk to Hot 97 about the situation. “The Realness,” which is K. Foxx and Ebro Darden, talked to Swizz Beatz about the song. During the interview, Swizz Beatz opened up on the inspiration for the song, which goes so hard at the critics.
